Log into sol using MindTerm
Note that this is not secure against an active attack where a trojan copy of
MindTerm, or a fake version of sol's public key, is introduced. However, it
will defend against passive password-sniffing, which is the main threat on
unsecured networks. If you feel you need
protection from active attacks, carry to your trusted remote terminal a
trusted copy of an SSH client with a trusted copy of sol's public key.
This is of course available only to authorised users of
sol. If you are not a member of the
Bristol astrophysics group then you are
not authorised to use this service.
Press enter in the applet window when prompted to use sol as an ssh-server,
and then log in with username and password as normal. (If the applet does
not appear just above then you probably have Java disabled in your browser,
or your browser is not Java-capable.)
