This section explains how to use the extractor program, scb, to view source code from the Starlink source tree, assuming that an index has been built as explained in section 3. The browser system tries to come up with the requested section of source code, but for one reason and another sometimes fails to do so. For more insight into why it behaves as it does, and how it might be coaxed into behaving otherwise, section 5 gives some explanation of how the indexing and extraction is done.
